Stefan Heizinger was born in 1975 at Linz, Upperaustria. From 1994 to 2000 artistic studies, especially at the University Mozarteum in the class for painting. Stefan Heizinger deals with transformation of found footage to ambiguous allegories. In his works the artist concentrates on questions such as model and self-efficacy, impacts and their conversion, authority and revolt. A preference lies on figurative images, full of references, and their contextual, spatial staging. Stefan Heizinger works as an independent visual artist and cultural activist in Salzburg and Vienna, Austria.
