HEARTMAN – The Subject of Self-Becoming

Finding oneself rather than losing oneself.

Stefan Heizinger calls his inner creator and protagonist HEARTMAN. HEARTMAN’s creative practice is rooted in personal development and transformation. It operates within a framework of image theory, neurobiology, psychology, cultural reception processes, and the medium of painting. The starting point of this creative process consists of photographic reference images. HEARTMAN utilizes these optical projections as carriers for psychological—auto-projective—processes. He appropriates the external to make his own essence visible.

In this process, HEARTMAN acts as an immersive figure. He is not a detached observer, but an archetype of change who inhabits various roles: the relationship between himself and his figures, the relationship of these figures to their environment, and the relationship of the image to its surroundings and its audience. Through this sculptural engagement, alternative model situations emerge. HEARTMAN transforms originally restrictive attitudes into a progressive personal mindset, and lived scenarios into potential alternatives. This is about un-folding (Ent-Wicklung)—breaking free from rigid patterns and returning to the role of the active subject.

HEARTMAN, Architect of the Heart. In personal expression and exchange. In individual processes and collective potentials. Anchored in the self, worldwide:

Let us explore ourselves! Let us trace our feelings and discover our own needs! Let us transform our fears, let us celebrate our strengths! Let us treat our wounds, let us name our transgressions! Let us transform inner obstacles and imposed limitations into personal flow, freedom, and happiness!
